In 1996, SWANSON DESIGN STUDIOS began its humble origins in the basement of Dave Swanson's home. With only himself, his wife Mary, and his father working as a draftsman, the firm undertook its first project, Holy Childhood of Jesus Catholic Church in Harbor Springs, Michigan. With in a few short months SWANSON DESIGN STUDIOS outgrew its cramped basement quarters and moved to 831 North Washington in Lansing, Michigan. During the next nine years at North Washington, SWANSON DESIGN STUDIOS found their niche in ecclesiastical design and furthered their devotion to creative design solutions for client's unique and individual needs. Through the advent of religious, administrative, commercial, hospitality, and residential projects, SWANSON DESIGN STUDIOS built its reputation and client base; further allowing it to grow and find its new home at 329 East Grand River Ave. All along the way, Dave and Mary Swanson have maintained a dedication to serve and act in their clients' best interests from project inception through its successful completion. With this continued attitude SWANSON DESIGN STUDIOS hopes to serve any potential client for years to come.
